Lidl, the grocery retailer chain, has revealed it’s recruiting 1,500 new warehouse staff to assist its retailer enlargement.
The discounter made the announcement as a result of it submitted plans for a 14th distribution centre.
It said the proposed new site, in Leeds, would bolster the number of roles it was searching for to fill by a further 400 if it obtained approval.
Lidl – like main low value rival Aldi – has been rising its share of the UK grocery market at tempo for over a decade by means of new retailer openings.
It has larger than 960 outlets presently and has a purpose of over 1,100.
